Brief Answer:
Healing time varies...

Detailed Answer:
The process of healing is influenced by virulence of organism, the size of abscess and body resistance. The doctors who had examined the abscess should have given a broad recovery period. If your viral load is in control, I would give it 2-3 weeks time to heal. However if I had been the treating doctor, I would have gone through with incising it to make sure all the collected abscess drained away before sending you home.

I hope the doctor collected pus sample for culture sensitivity tests. This test is extremely useful guide that helps us choose right antibiotic treatment.

If all the pus has drained and you are on right antibiotics, it would take couple of weeks to heal. But I would follow up in a week to monitor the progress. You should get back to the hospital if the abscess is still draining.

Let me know if you need clarifications.
