Brief Answer:
Please clarify age of the child

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .Based on the facts that you have posted It seems that your son has undescended testis

I shall be happy to know the age of the child and present location of testis to make precise comments

The time frame for undescended testis to descend down or whether it will come down into scrotal sac or not is entirely govern by the fact where it is located .

I would suggest you to consult qualified General Surgeon or Pediatric surgeon for clinical assessment to find out present location of testis and get Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen and pelvis done to confirm the diagnosis .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Brief Answer:
Inguinal testis is unlikely to descend down in scrotal sac .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up and feedback .

The testis arrested in inguinal canal is unlikely to descend in scrotal sac ,

It needs to be positioned (Placed ) in scrotal sac by surgery of Orchidopexy .It is advisable to get surgery done before the age of 2 years in order to save the proper functioning and further growth of the testis .

Thanks and Regards.

testis is not arrested in the inguinal region it does come down. we have seen it inside the scrotum near its neck but rarely. then it goes back to inguinal region. does that mean it will not come down on its own? pls find attached images. problem is with left testie

Brief Answer:
He seems to have Retractile Testis and not undescended testis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up and uploading photographs.

Based on the photographs he does not seem to have undescended testis but has what is called as Freely Retractile Testis which you can expect it to get fixed in scrotal sac by the age of puberty .It does not need to be fixed in scrotal sac surgically .

Thanks and Regards.
