Question: Does Staxyn have a useful life ?
At what point in time Does Staxyn become ineffective
Answered by Dr. Michelle Gibson James 48 minutes later
Brief Answer:
half life is 3 to 6 hours, levels start decreasing by half at this time

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Staxyn is the trade name for the medication vardenafil.

It usually starts to work 60 to 75 mins after use.

It should not be taken with any liquids, this may reduce effectiveness.

The half life of a medication is the time it takes for the amount of medication in the body to decrease by half.
it takes approximately 3 to 5 half lives for a medication to be eliminated completely from the body.

The half life of staxyn is 3 to 6 hours, this means that after 9 to 30 hours, most of it has been eliminated though it would likely stop being effective before this time

Summary: (1) take without liquids, starts to work in just over 60 mins
(2)by 3 to 6 hours, the levels would start to decrease and so would its effectiveness

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

I'm sorry but I must've left out the words shelf life to my question because my question had to do with how long does Staxon remain potent if left on the shelf for three months or six months or nine months or one year ❓

How long can Saxon remain on the shelf before it has lost its potency?

How can you tell from the packaging when that particular batch of staxyn was produced so you can calculate how long it can remain on the shelf❓

Brief Answer:
expiration date should be on the package

Detailed Answer:

The package should have an expiration date on the outside.
Most medications have an expiration date of at least a year.

Look for exp followed by a date.

Even if the date has passed, most meds are effective for at least 3 months after the time

Please feel free to ask anything else
