Brief Answer:
I agree with the prescribed treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query and I understand your concern.

You seem to have developed post inflammatory hypopigmentation.

Laser for hair removal mainly targets melanin present in hair follicles which as a result gets heated up and destroyed.

However, melanin is also present in epidermis and therefore some laser energy is also absorbed by adjacent epidermis and therefore there might be transient complications like post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation specially in those individuals who have a lot of epidermal melanin.

These pigmentary changes are transient and therefore reversible.
I agree with the treatment prescribed by your doctor i.e pimecrolimus cream, twice daily, for post inflammatory hypopigmentation. You may continue with it. You can expect significant improvement in 3-4 weeks.

Regards
