How Long Cold And Cough In Children Inspite Of Having Treatment Take To Cure?

Question: HI
my son(5years 1 month) is having cold and cough with running nose from last few days..he is regularly on inhaler seroflo 125 (1 puff twice) and montair 5 as known case of asthma.
Today Doctor prescribed him Azee 200 for 3 days with alaspan syrup 5 ml twice for 5 days..nebulization with levolin 0.63 on SOS basis and Meftal P also on SOS basis..

how long it is going to take to cure..?

Hi,

This is well known that Asthmatics will have such triggers now and then. Your son's episode seems mild and well recognized early.
Seroflo helps in expanding the airways, Montair prevents allergic reaction. Azee is an antibiotic. Nebulization is very good and important.
The treatment he gets is good enough. He should be cleared in 3 to 5 days provided he is not exposed to triggers again. Avoid cold air, water, play outdoors. Regular medications are must.
