How Long After Taking Ovutrig Injection Will Ovulation Take Place?

Question: Today is day 13 of cycle. Started clomid frm day 5 to 9. Follicle size is 20 mm. Have taken injection ovutrig 250 mg today at 10a.m. After how many hours will the ovulation take place? I want to time my intercourse closest to ovulation.

Follicle size is enough matured and it can rupture anytime between 36-40 hrs (on an average) after taking trigger injection (OVUTRIG 250 mg).

Yes, you can buy Ovulation Prediction Kit (LH kit) to predict ovulation time grossly (it varies 12 to 24 hrs). It is available in medical store. However, exact time of ovulation CAN'T be judged by any tool.

You can undergo ultrasound scan for follicular study (BEST TOOL) to know pick hour of rupture. In that case, you must contact with your treating doctor for approx time. It needs continuous monitoring.
