Question: yes i has a ? i have EBS AND I HAVE HAD 5 UPPER GI ENDOSCOPY IT HAS BEEN A YR THIS PAST DEC !! IT HAS STARTS HURTING REAL BAD AGAIN .MY ? IS THE DR. SAID HE DILATED MY EAOPHAGEAL WITH 5DIFFERENT SIZE OF BALLONS , IS THIS THEY WAY THE DILATED YOR ESOPHAGEAL NOW .. I USED TO WORK IN THE MEDICAL FIELD AND I NEVER HEARD DR. CALL IT THISA WAY .S INCE I HAD THIS DONE 5 TIMES SHOULD I ALREADY NEED THIS DONE AGAI

Esophageal stricture is dilated with bougie dilators and CRE balloon dilators.
These days many doctors prefer CRE balloon dilators over bougie dilators.
