Brief Answer:
Full thickness skin biopsy is the confirmatory diagnosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam,
Thanks for writing in to us at hcm.
This is Dr.Riyanka and I am glad to be helping you with your query.

Eosinophilic fasciitis is an inflammatory disorder affecting the fascia, connective tissues, muscles, blood vessels along with nerves accompanied with an increase in the Eosinophil count of the blood.

A full thickness skin biopsy of the localised affected skin tissue ( skin, fascia and muscle biopsy) gives a confirmatory diagnosis of the disease.

On biopsy the important histological findings are :
1. Sclerosis of the fascia
2. Increased Lymphocytic and plasma cell presence in the fascia
3. Eosinophilic infiltration of the fascia and muscle .

A combined investigation of Full thickness Skin biopsy, Eosinophilic count of blood and an MRI Scan is helpful in confirmation of diagnosis of Eosinophilic Fasciitis.

Hope this answers your query. Don't worry .
