Question: How is Hashimoto's disease diagnosed? Blood test?

Thyroid antibodies

Detailed Answer:
The following two autoantibody tests give a fair idea as to whether or not you have Hashimoto's disease:

Anti Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) antibodies
and

Anti Thyroglobulin antibodies

In addition to these tests, it is also relevant to do

TSH
and
Free T4

There is no need to fast for these tests and they can be done at any time of the day.

The above 4 tests are helpful in making a diagnosis of an under-active thyroid ie hypothyroidism.

I see you are already on levothyroxine. Even then these tests are worth doing to make sure you have this condition or no
