Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

Hope you are doing good. I have read through your query in detail.
As you have a serious concern about disease infection and HIV transmission, may I ask you to please write in some more details on what exactly happened. I intend to know where exactly is the cut and if the envelope could have been possibly contaminated by any body fluids of some one else which might be a concern to you at the moment.

Waiting to hear an update from you.

Brief Answer:
No need to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

There is no need to worry because the envelope was probably a new one and unused. The injury in your mouth and gums was also mild without any bleeding. With these points there is no need to worry at all. There is no possibility of you getting HIV in this way.

Waiting to hear an update from you.

Dr.Vivek

Brief Answer:
Please find details below

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. The co worker touched your pinky which had a bandaid around it. This means your cut was protected from outside. There is no need to worry if your co worker touched the bandaid.

2. You believe but have not seen the lady at the shop touching the cookies with her hands during transportation. In this situation you can heat the cookies in a microwave oven for a minute and then have them if you think her hands were unclean and to avoid any possible contamination. As far as HIV is concerned, there is no risk because the disease is never transmitted by foodstuffs.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Dr.Vivek
