How Does One Treat Severe Leg Pain And Intermittent Arm Pain?

default
Posted on Thu, 24 Sep 2020
Question: I have horrible leg pain & sometimes arm pain as well. right now both of my legs hurt so bad I could cry. It first started a couple of months ago. It seemed like when I worked, I used my arms quite a bit so I would get arm cramps when I got home. Also on concrete all day, so I would get leg cramps as well. I started working out on treadmill & I felt like I was getting better then it got horrible so I stopped thinking I had chin splints. Now I get the pain all the time no matter what I do??

Brief Answer:
Can be calcium and D3 deficiency.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The persistent pain in legs and arm that you have can be related to age related osteoporosis. The muscle cramps can be due to electrolyte imbalance. You need to start taking proper calcium and Vitamin D3 supplements after getting the levels checked. Prescription muscle relaxants and pain killers may be needed in case of a persistent pain.
I hope this answers your query.

Do you think it could be a lack of potassium as well?

Brief Answer:
Can be lack of potassium also.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Muscle cramps could be due to lack of potassium or magnesium. A blood test is needed to rule out these causes.
