Question: Hi doctor. Hope u well. I'm so worried I fell like 30 minutes ago went to the bathroom and I slipped and fell on my bum and my elbow got hurt. I hope my baby will be fine I'm so worried. I didn't fall on my stomach tho. I'm nearly 14 weeks pregnant XXXXX. I just hit my bum on tiles and my elbow didn't affect my stomach nor is there any bleeding XXXXX. Is it a cause of concern? I'm really worried I hope the baby is fine I was walking and think there was water and I slipped and it was on a tile but didn't affect my stomach just fell on my bum and hit my elbow was like a support so hit my elbow

Brief Answer:
Serious damages very unlikely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

That kind of fall in most cases doesn't cause any health issues, except pain in involved areas.

Since you are 14 weeks pregnant, I don't think that the baby has suffered any damage because he is well protected inside the womb.

You could have done an ultrasound of the baby just to be sure.

Hope I helped you.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.

Hi thanks doctor a lot. Ummm I seem to be fine like no abdominal pain or bleeding. Where I fell is just sore otherwise I'm good. If I didn't do a scan would it be okay? I just went for my 4th ultrasound 3 days ago so avoiding too many of them due to radiation to the baby. But if you would really think an ultrasound would be good then I don't mind going for it just to be on the safe side.

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound just to confirm there is no damage.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

Like I said before, I don't think there is any damage to be concerned, I suggested ultrasound just to be sure and to peace your mind.

There is no radiation in ultrasound, so, there is no damage to you or your baby too.

If you feel good, postpone the ultrasound.

Hope I helped you.

Wishing good health for you and your baby.

Ok thanks I contacted a local gynacologist she said it's fine to not have a scan. She said if I fell on my stomach it would be a cause of concern. I hope I'm okay
