How can urinary tract infection be treated?

Posted on Tue, 4 Jul 2017 in General Health
Question: Ive had two UTIs in the last month just wondering of any resons why, i had a c section 5 mo ago, at that time bladder was cut but all was good at follow up.Thanks, I am also Type one Diabetic and have been on insulin 12 years, i had chronic UTIs before Type one diagnosis but have not had much trouble in the last ten years until last month and wasnt sure if it was linked to C section complication in January, i only drink water and try to drink at least 64 ounces a day. Could you give me an example of an OTC alkalser? Im not a smoker or drinker so that is not an issue :)

relates to pH imbalance mechanism of bladder
consume plenty liquids, cranberry sachets, citrus fruits, chewable vitaminc C supplements
OTC urinary alkalisers play good role

Brief Answer:
Bearberry extract in herbal tea form is best urinary alkaliser for you .

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear
I evaluated your query in depth .
* Does not seem much related with C section , by this time cut bladder
wound must be healed perfectly .
It is related with susceptibility of urinary tract epithelium to get invasion
through micro organisms more frequently
* Bearberry extract is a pure herbal preparation with
- antibacterial - urinary antispasmodic - astringent - healing mucous
membranes of the urinary tract - mild diuretic
- can consume in form of a herbal tea daily 1 teaspoonful has to be added in 1
liter of boiled water , steep for 7-8 minutes
to be consumed daily 30 ml morning and evening
- in breast feeding case , need to discuss with the pediatrician before
* As you are diabetic , there are always more chances of getting urinary tract
infections with minor imbalances in liquid intake .
* Suggestions for you to get better early recovery
- still increase the liquid intake to minimum of 90 ounces a day in form of
various liquids as coconut water , rice water , green tea , coffee , butter milk
lemon juice without sugar rather than drinking only plain water
- strict control of diabetes with insulin & dietary regimens
- remain ambulatory with routine walking , exercises
- YOGA play pivotal role on long term basis particularly those focusing on deep
breathing with pelvic muscles involvement
- avoid stress , anxiety
- have regular sound sleep of 7-8 hrs
- avoid exposure to excess heat
* Recommendations :
- get fresh diabetic work up , complete blood counts ,serum creatinine , urine
microscopy with culture report if not done
