How can swelling in the testicle be treated?

default
Posted on Fri, 30 Jun 2017 in Digestion and Bowels
Question: About 25 days ago I ask about Hydroceles. Dr. XXXXXXX rendered a very helpful response. Then on May 17, 2017 I had the operation to
fix the right side of my scrotum/testicle. The operation went well to include no pain following the operation. However, my right testicle is still swelled to about the size of a
Tennis ball. I have and continue to apply an ice pack 3-4 times per day. [How long should
my right testes remain enlarged?] I have no fever, etc. Also, how limited should my activities be and for how long? I will be very grateful for a response. Thank You. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
post operative hematoma or cellulitis of the part most likely.

* Seems post operative hematoma or cellulitis most likely .
* Time period for which testis remain enlarged depend upon the various factors
- type of procedure performed - scrotal support given - medications used
during , after procedure - healing response of the person
* Normal activities like walking , roaming , household activities are okay at this
period , but activities requiring prolong sitting / driving / weight lifting are not
advisable till the recovery of the swelling .
* Kindly provide me further details herewith to understand in depth your issue &
highlight more thoroughly
1. name of surgery done as must be mentioned in discharge card of the hospital
or can upload photo of the discharge card itself
2. how many days hospitalised for IV antibiotics & treatment , had how much
swelling at operation site when left hospital
3. has swelling remains as such in size from that time till today or increase or
decrease
4. right now pain , difficulty in movements , overlying skin is red , hot or
normal
5. current medicines given with names , dosage / can upload photo of strips
6. food intake okay , urine output
7. when follow up to the surgeon was done after operation , his comments on
