Brief Answer:
Management of scabies

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

If I was your treating doctor I would recommend your sister to apply Permethrin Lotion on her body from neck downwards on the entire body, keep it for 8-10 hours and then take a bath in the morning. The same has to be repeated after 1 week.

Similarly the same Permethrin Lotion can be applied on the child's entire body from neck downwards, kept for 8 hours and then washed off in the morning and repeated again after 1 week.
After bathing in the morning all the clothes that they have worn recently need to be washed and ironed.

Also ask your sister to take antihistamine like tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg twice daily for 2-3 weeks.

For the baby ask her to apply cream containing combination of hydrocortisone and crotamiton on the affected areas of the body twice daily and give him antihistaminic like cyproheptadine drops 3 drops thrice daily for 2-3 weeks.

All these are prescription drugs and she needs to see the doctor in person to get them.

Hope I have answered your query.
