How Can Red Rashes On The Cheeks Be Treated?
further necessary information
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for contacting the Ayurveda section of [A]YUSH and after reviewing your case history and opinion given by fellow eminent Physician's I'm of the following opinion:
1. It couldn't possibly be erythema toxicum or milia but could be a combination of skin disease: allergic eczema/atopic eczema, ringworm [unless proved otherwise] so have a direct physical examination with a Pediatrician or a Dermatologist.
2. since the mother is breastfeeding and baby is suffering from skin condition thus tell her to
. Take: old brown rice, moong-masoor-arhar dal, garlic, cucumber, old ghee, amla, bitter gourd, pomegranate, honey, light diet, turmeric, neem/lemon
. Avoid: newly harvested rice, radish, sour/heavy food, curd, jaggery, salt, heavy/slimy/cold food, daytime sleeping, and excessive physical exertion, soy, wheat, eggs.
3. Give mother 'balant kadha no. 3 by Sandu pharmacy [बालंत काढ़ा नंबर ३]: 4 teaspoons thrice daily.
4. Since baby skin is soft, I wouldn't recommend the use of topical steroids instead wash the face with baby soap and apply a cream containing aloe vera, zinc oxide, Epsom salt, vitamin A/E, in it. [If unavailable let me know so I can courier you the same]
i. any problem with voice, or unable to gain weight, passing flatus/urine/stool normally?
ii. any excess sweating, loose stool, thirst?
iii. any excess drooling, sleeping, swelling under eyes, nausea?
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
