How can protein powder be consumed during pregnancy without using milk?

Question
My wife is 8 months pregnant. Recently she is not able to digest milk so she has stopped taking milk. Earlier she used to take protein powder with milk. How should she take protein powder now?
Rather than milk she is taking curd now, but due to winters, the quantity of curd is less.
