Brief Answer:
possible groin inflammation from various reasons.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the groin pain with swelling indicates
underlying inflammation of the region from various causes.

Kindly provide me further details so that I can answer your query completely.

1. Give a detailed elaboration of any pain since last July, means the pain is
on and off regularly or it has just started before 2 weeks only ?
2. Whether pain onset was associated with any straining activity ?
3. Any associated symptoms as fever, vomiting, alterations in bowel or
bladder movements if any.
4. If possible and no objection, provide a photo picture of the part showing
swelling for best evaluation.

Awaiting for your response.
Regards.

My recovery period from the surgery lasted about 8 weeks. After that, I experienced no pain until about two weeks ago. it is a dull pain that comes and go. It is relieved some by icing the area. The pain is not associated with any straining activity, nor do I have any other symptoms associated with the pain. It is slightly swelled, but it is not red or any other color.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the details.

* Possible inflammation in previously operated area of concern ( less likely
to be part of surgery outcome as there is period of one year ).

* Guidelines at present

- Observe for the development of any redness, warmth of the overlying skin.
- Apply ice pack 4 times a day.
- Tablet ibuprofen ( 400 mg ) 3 times a day after meals if no history of drug
sensitivity, along with antacid medicine.
- Check to have regular smooth bowel movements.

Hope this will help you.
Suggested follow up after 24 hours or early as per the requirement.

Wish you fine recovery.
Regards.
