Brief Answer:
Osteomalacia

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

Thanks for the query.

When the normal calcium phosphate crystals that constitute the bone's normal mineral architecture is less, that is called osseous demineralisation. Occurring near the knee joint indicates the site of the bone mass loss.

It is seen in Rickets in children and Osteomalacia in adults.

Calcium supplements with Vitamin D help to treat this condition.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Regards,

Dr.Aashish Raghu
