Question: My wife having CNVN/ ARMD since 2000. In 2000 lessor in Left eye. Since then 03 PDT in right eye, total 10 Avastin/ Lucentis. Now 10/04/ 17 Eylea Inj left eye. Age 78, female. Blood pressure under control for 35 yrs. Presently taking ERITEL LN 80 evening; Eritel LN 40+ METXT XL 50 morning. Fasting Sugar 90. FFELS HEAT ON EYES-LOVES COOL MAY BE COLD MILK IN COTTON OR ICE. FEELS AS IF EYE OPENING DIFFICULT. HAD OVERY CANCER C III STAGE IN 2008. NOW PERFECT. LOOKING ADVICE FOR CNVN/ ARMD. Thanks.

My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.

In view of a large number of intravitreal injections having been given already, only conservative treatment is advisable.This includes multivitamins and anti incidents, which are to be taken for a long period of time to have at least a stabilizing effect. If these medications stop the progress of the disease, that will also be an achievement.

For local use, lubricant eye drops will be useful and they can be used for long period of time without any side effects.

Medication for general problems should be continued properly as they can complicate existing diseases.
