How Can High SGOT And SGPT Levels Be Controlled?

Question: My SGOT is 107 and SGPT is 76. What is the reason? Can i control it and bring it to normal if i stop drinking?

Hi,

Most often the SGOT and sgpt (liver enzymes) are found to be raised incidentally on routine physical examination.
We cannot derive the exact reasons why they increase unless we know about your personal history, examination and other blood tests.
Yes, stopping alcohol would reverse the values of these enzymes but very slow process.
Besides maintaining weight, healthy food, exercise, free from infections and stopping medicines/drug that are not essential esp ayurvedic formulations is also useful.
