Brief Answer:
Drotaverin syrup with lansoprazole will help

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

Frequent vomiting with pain abdomen can be due to gastritis or spasm of intestine.
Here giving Drotaverin syrup(Drotin) which relieves spasm along with lansoprazole(One brand is Junior lanzole) an acid reducing agent will help.
Dose of Drotaverin fir this age is 5 ml three times a day and it is usually given for 2 days(three times a day) and after that only when required.
Similarly the dose of lansoprazole in this age is about 5-10 mg( each dispersible tablet contains 15 mg) that is half tablet a day, preferably before breakfast in the morning. It can also be given for 3 days and thereafter only if symptom persists.
I would request you to consult a pediatrician for prescription of these medications.
Watch for danger signs like severe and persistent pain, blood mixed stool, persistent vomiting, abdominal distension etc and if you notice any please consult your pediatrician immediately.

I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.
Regards

Hi Doctor
Just to clarify , he no longer has vomitting but keeps complaining about stomach pain.
We showed him to a local Pediatrician and were prescribed oflox syrup 5ml morning and evening and cyclopalm for pain.
He has been taking these for last 2 days but still keeps complaining about stomach pain.
Please let us know what should be the next course of action.

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Acid reducing agent like lansoprazole will help

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for follow up

Vomiting with pain abdomen can be due to spasm of intestine or gastritis.
The underlying cause of spasm or gastritis can be infection.
I would suggest you to continue Ofloxacin and Cyclopam. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic and cyclopam is an antispasmodic. Both the medicine will help controlling infection and spasm.
Please let me know if the severity of pain has increased or worsened.
If it has decreased you may wait and watch with the same. But if it is same or has increased better I would like to add an acid reducing agent like lansoprazole or esomeprazole for gastritis.

Regards
