How Can Extreme Mood Swings During Stressful Times Be Managed?

default
Posted on Tue, 19 Mar 2019
Question: I have been facing this issue of mood swings and when I get stressed it worsens. When that happens, I feel like sleeping and subdue the enormous number of thoughts that flows. This is ruining my love life too as other person would always be unhappy to see the mood go up and down always, though I'm not doing it intentionally. These mood swings last for two or three days and after that it vanishes. When this happens I go on frenzy-not exactly breaking things and all but restless mind and don't feel like talking to anyone. I cry a lot as well as to what is happening as I am not able to control it. I have been taking Alprazolam 0.25 mg daily as well for past two weeks, but don't see results. I also get angry on small issues that doesn't make sense when I realize after the mood has stabilized. I am in love with one person and when some issue erupts I message her multiple times pleading/explaining/showing how much i love etc., and she gets frustrated with that. I also eat a lot when this episode happens. Im exactly not sure why it is happening, but I need it resolved asap as I don't want to lose people. It has affected whole life of me now. Please help me with some good medicine that will remove this issue. Thanks
