How can chronic abdominal pain and lack of appetite be treated despite taking Metronidazole?

Question: I have a cronic pain in the middle abdominal area. No desire to eat, really tired, some night sweating for the last 7 da ys now bowels are tight discharging nuggets with effort. We live in NC but are in FL. Stopped at a clinic and taking ondansetron odt metronidazole as of 2/15 still feeling as if nothing has changed. Not sure what to do till we get home to primary care.
Brief Answer:
Probably gastritis. Try Pantoprazole daily!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have reviewed your information fully and this is very much suggestive of acute gastritis. This could be caused by an infection, stress, or drugs that are commonly used in treating pain.
I recommend pantoprazole 40mg daily. Kindly report progress to me. I wish you a speedy recovery.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
