Brief Answer:

Tooth needs treatment.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

It looks like he has a tooth abscess. He can take Azithromycin as it is suitable for an individual having IPF.

As antibiotics are prescription medicines you will need to get it prescribed from a dentist or a Physician.

You can also get a Prescription from an Emergency room.

Also, he should do warm saline gargles and antiseptic mouthwash gargles.

The tooth should XXXXXXX be treated with either root canal treatment or extraction depending on the condition of the tooth.
For those, an X-ray has to be done.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
