Question: Hello I have a supple white lesion for 3 weeks which regresses and returns. It seems to be placed next to a somewhat prominent tooth. Do you think it is a cancer of the language?

Brief Answer:
Please upload a picture..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Thanks for the query..

First of all I would like to tell you that if the lesion regress and return then it is not cancerous.
This is because cancerous lesions does not regress and remain non healing.

But for better understanding please click a clear picture and upload so that I can advise you more precisely..

Please revert back with an image.

Also tell is the lesion painful?
Does it appear filled with fluid or pus?
As it is next to a large tooth, do you bite your cheek?

Please write back.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
Looks like hyperkeratosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
The white lesion looks like Hyperkeratosis..
It is due to excessive keratin deposition on the mucosal surface due to continuous irritation..
It is not cancerous..
So in case if there is any sharp tooth that hits your tongue then it should be smoothed..

Hope this helps..
