Question: I am a female 56 yrs old the top part of my foot is causing difficulty walking I do have a lump any ideas Doctor

Lump with painful foot can be due to a variety of reasons-

1.Lipoma- soft tissue swelling made up of fat

2.Ganglion-Soft tissue swelling made up of synovial fluid

3.Tenosynovitis-painful inflammation of the tendon sheath

4.Neuroma-soft tissue swelling made up of nervous tissue

5.Early cellulitis-early infection

There are various other reasons too.

If you could please post a photograph of the lump and the painful part,i would be in a better position to guide you further,because treatment for all the different lumps is different.
