How Can A Lump In The Wrist Be Treated?

default
Posted on Wed, 20 Sep 2017
Question: I am a 66-year-old female in very good health. I have had fibroid tumors in the past - several years ago, had two removed from my left breast and I had to have a hysterectomy because of severe endometriosis. I don't know if any of that has anything to do with my current question, but just some background. About three days ago, I noticed a small lump on the underside of my left wrist. It doesn't hurt when pressed and doesn't seem to be interfering with movement of my wrist or hand. Is this anything I need to have checked out further?

Brief Answer:
Likely to be a lipoma

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
The lump in the wrist you are having is most likely a lipoma.
This is completely unrelated to your past medical history and is a benign swelling.
It is unlikely to affect your health.
However, you should get it examined by a surgeon for exact diagnosis.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
