Question: Hi,
I have lump at right side of my hip which is around 2cm.I don't have any pain it is there for past 7 years.I don't know wether it is on the skin or on the hip bone.On standing position if I touch it is small and hard and on bending position it is soft.Twice I went to general physician and he said it would be lipoma and need not taken care until gets more pain or enlargement.Should I diagnosis this or when is the right time to go for medical help?

Brief Answer:
You can get it removed.

Detailed Answer:
As per your description, it looks like Lipoma, swelling arising from fat tissue.
As it is 2cms , I prefer to remove it and send it for Histopathological examination (Biopsy ).Exact diagnosis will be confirmed.
Please consult your doctor and proceed further. There is no need for admission. It is done under Local anaesthesia.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query.
Wish you good health.

I ve been experiencing this heavy feeling in my right side, between hip bone and rib cage. It seems to get worse at night. I also experience stinging pain occasionally during the night. I have very bad smelling flatulence which seems to flare up at night time and would say it s related to this heavy feeling in my right side as that is when the flatuence is worst, when pain/heavy feeling in side is occuring. My energy level isn t what it used to be. This problem has been on going for over a year now. My bowel movements aren t consistent day to day. I noticed small peanut shaped things in my stool and even small holes along the stool.

hi im a 20 yr old female, i had a baby when i was 18 yr old and have no problems during pregnancy or after, when i was 16yr old i had a dermoid cyst removed and my fallopian tubes were very scarred and i got told it would be extremely difficult for me to get pregnant, i managed to obviously... my issue may or may not be related to this ive had a lump in my left leg along the crease line where the pelvis and thigh meet, its about an inch under my hip bone , it started quiet small but you could see it pertruding if i stood up or layed flat as i am quite thin, its gotten bigger and has become very tender if i touch it can you help with a rough idea of how serious it may oray not be?

HI. I have been having pain on my left side where I would generally suspect an ovary to be. It is a constant ache all the time but sharper when bladder is full, I move weird or sit down on anything. Lower back has a general ache as does just inside my back from the side of my left hip.. About an inch in from the middle of my side but about even with the top of my hip bone . Any ideas of what could be causing this and if it is an ER or a family dr thing.. Thank You!
