Brief Answer:
Treatment depends on stone size and it's severity.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist,i can understand your concern.
You should write the size of the stone and for how long you've had this pain.
Most stones less than 4mm size, flush out by drinking 12 glasses of fluids.
If they're bigger than 4mm size, then you'll need to take some drugs to expel it,like:
1. Potassium Magnesium Citrate tablets or syrup.
2. Alfa-blockers, like Tamsulosin, for a short duration.

If the medical treatment doesn't work in about a week, then lithotripsy is needed.
Wish you a speedy recovery.

Brief Answer:
It's best to get it out.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
It's best to get a 8mm stone out of your system. Leaving it there can cause complications like:
1. recurrent pain.
2. infection.
3. bleeding.
4. increase in size and damage to the kidney.
Before treatment, repeat the U/S-KUB scan.Continue to drink about 3 liters of fluids daily and take the medicines advised earlier.
