How Can I Make Myself Less Horny?

default
Posted on Fri, 6 Jul 2012
Question: i'm 17 and i am constantly horny. Obviously i should be but it constantly distracts me from everything.
Although i am horny far too often and even masturbating wouldn't stop me because i still am after so then i usually do again, and sometimes again etc... ( don't even know i have a limit )
so is there anyway to make myself horny less often? Thanks

Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

I can understand your concern. It must be distressing to be unable to perform your daily chores without getting disturbing thoughts and feelings that hamper your concentration.

Is your sleep disturbed ?

Do you experience frequent low mood or mood changes during the day ?

Masturbation is a normal healthy habit for persons of your age. There is no normal limit of the number of times you can do it but if it causes distress it is definitely a problem. It may affect your daily activities and sleep.

There could be many causes for frequently being 'horny'. Most common causes are lack of fruitful activity, boredom, depression, anxiety, mood disorders etc.

I have reviewed your attached article on how to stop being horny. It is not wise to follow that article because it gives unrealistic view on this situation and it's management.

It would be best to pick up an interesting hobby and pursue it when you are not at school or work. This will help you prevent getting thoughts of masturbating. Also spend time with friends, watch movies together and XXXXXXX up and play games at arcades or in the field. Try to do group sports and activities. This will surely help in controlling urges.

Avoid spending much time alone with yourself. If you do, try to catch up on a book or study well for your grades which is important for your future.

Eat a balanced diet. Avoid junk food, colas, caffeine. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and XXXXXXX leafy vegetables. Drink plenty of water. Exercise daily. Get 6-8 hours of refreshing sleep daily. Do Yoga for stress relief.

If this problem does not subside you may need to consult with a leading Psychiatrist who will evaluate your condition and suggest best possible remedies.

I hope I have answered your query. I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Wishing you good health.

Regards,

I have read several articles on the internet, and I found the following article, can you explain the point by point contained in this article?

1. Look for unsexy people. Take a look around in the room. If there are girls in the room, stay away from them. Don't even glance at them. It doesn't matter what they look like; you will find them hot when you are horny. Find the ugliest man in the room. Look for a man that is so sexually repulsive--who knows, it could actually be you. Imagine this person naked and hopefully it works but if this still brings you to arousal, you might be in big trouble.

2. Use inanimate objects to get out of horniness. Inanimate objects do not really exude sexiness, so this is a way you can get out of this condition. Think of your trusty stapler. You can also look at pieces of furniture as your diversion from the sexiness of the people around you. Beware, though. In some instances, this method might not be enough to curb your horniness. If this is the case, you might need to resort to something more drastic.

3. Think about painful thoughts. Your mind is a powerful thing. It has the ability to imagine pain that is not really there. Think bad thoughts with a meat cleaver and cutting certain appendages that are not your arms or legs. You can also think about other pain-inducing practices to specific parts of your anatomy. It is hard to think and focus when your mind is in this state, so you might need to go physical on your problem.

4. Apply pain. Pain and arousal are on the opposite ends of the emotional wheel but they often tend to complement each other. Applying pain can dull the feeling of horniness. Pinch your arm or leg discretely to induce pain and break off of the spell brought about by arousal. If you are sitting down, try stomping on your toes with your opposite heel. Avoid making ugly faces when you are applying pain to your body because that would just look weird.

5. Relax and release. When all else fails, you might be at the point of no return. If that is the case, leave the room as inconspicuously as possible. Don't ask to be excused because it will only draw more attention to you than necessary, after all, you are no longer in kindergarten. Once you are out, proceed to the bathroom for some personal time with yourself. This relieves the pressure and you should no longer be horny for about an hour or two.

thanks

Hi there.

I personally do not agree with the article you posted on how to curb your increased sexual interest. I believe this is self explanatory and will not be of any benefit and it thoroughly not recommended medically. You may practice this on your accord and risk.

Since you request me to explain this article I will try my best.

Looking for unsexy people is self-explanatory. Avoid looking at anyone who might interest you.

Looking at inanimate objects could help keep your mind off sex.

I do not agree with the statement that pain and 'horniness' are opposite sides of the spectrum. Sometimes they both can be associated together. We have heard of BDSM (Bondage, Sadism, Masochism) practice as a sexual method and preference, which employ pain as a 'turn-on'.

Next point explains that you leave the stressful situation and move to one which is non-stimulating in any regard. Being in a bathroom may not give you thoughts of sex.

Kindly do not follow any of these practices as in my opinion they will be useless.

Kindly do follow what I have mentioned in my earlier post for best results.

I hope I have answered your query.

Wishing you good health.

Regards,
