What Tests Can Be Taken To Rule Out Thyroid And PCOS?
Lab tests for thyroid and pcos
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
In order to find out if you have any thyroid condition, you are required to test for TSH levels. If at all, you have any variations in TSH, you may have to do a thyroid profile so as to provide with proper treatment.
There are many laboratory tests available to look for PCOS, some of which are:
- Abdominal ultrasound
- Hormones: LH, FSH, estrogen
- Lipid profile: cholesterol levels may be elevated
- Glucose levels
In short, a single test cannot fully determine the presence of PCOD. IF you seem to have any particular symptoms, you can feel free to describe them and I may be able to help you out.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thank you.
