How Can Charley Horse Pain Be Treated While On Thyroid And BP Medications?
Question: My wife age 75 Leg pains and charley horses… I had been taking only my thyroid meds and BP meds and drinking at least 2 bottles of Propel water and 2 small bottles of Schweppes tonic water with quinine and slept without the leg pains and charley horses. Then, I started taking the Hyoscyamine 0.125 mg. under the tongue 15-20 minutes before meals (3 times daily) and 1Tbsp. Benefiber once daily. And, the pains started up again.
Sometimes the leg pains are from the outside of the knee down towards the ankle
Sometimes I get pain on my inner thigh
Once I even got the pain in my foot and it stiffened up on me. I massaged it and it subsided
The charley horses are in my calves and sometimes it’s so severe, I practically pop out of bed
Other times, the charley horses are a little more mild but do awaken me
