How Accurate Is Uni-Gold Rapid Test For HIV Detection?
Question: I am looking to do a rapid HIV test at home and have ordered online the Unigold test which I hear is a very good test and is a gen 3 test. Is this correct? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your reply and information regarding the Unigold test. I'm having some quite acute anxiety not over unprotected sex but an episode of being fingered by a man of unknown status. I did put a nitrile glove on his hand and used a lot of lube. The glove remained in tact after he was finished. I used Crisco as lube. Does this lube weaken the strength of the nitrile? Should I be concerned over this exposure albeit protected? Thank you in advance.

I am feeling sorry for your anxiety and apprehension on the matter of genuine concerns. But keep relax and feel protected as there was no sexual intercourse and also the gloves was intact.
No Crisco doesn't weaken the nitrile strength at all. If he was HIV positive too, and he did all that, you are still safe, even when Crisco was used. This is the same gloves we use to treat and handle HIV patients in our clinical settings too.
You never got exposed to the infection and you have no risk at all. So please keep calm.

He was rather vigorous and rough for the 20-30 minutes and it was relatively deep. Still safe as long as glove was in tact?
