Brief Answer:
Your symptoms are not related to the heart.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome back to Ask a Doctor service!

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms do not seem to be related to any cardiac disorders.

You should know that it is quite normal to have an increased heart rate during physical activity, such as walking.

Anxiety can also trigger all this clinical situation too.

So, just relax and don't worry about it!

Nothing serious seems to be going on!

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask me again!

Wishing all the best,

Brief Answer:
Your symptoms are not related to the heart.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Based on your description of the pain, it seems to be costochondritis or just local musculoskeletal pain probably related to local inflammation.

I would exclude any cardiac disorders, especially considering the location of the pain and your previous cardiac tests.

So, try to relax and don't worry about it!

Local warm packs and acetaminophen or ibuprofen could help improve your situation.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask me again!

Answered by Dr. Ilir Sharka (5 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
There is no need to consult with your GP or perform any additional tests.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Thank you for the additional information!

I agree with you that straining physical activity, repeated bending over or stretching can trigger this type of chest pain, because as you know rest is the best to help against inflammation.

From the other hand, cold weather can trigger local muscle inflammation and even fibromyalgia.

So, you can see that there are different factors contributing in your symptomatology.

Nevertheless, I don't think that you need to see your GP or perform any additional tests.

I am quite sure that nothing serious is going on!

So, try to avoid straining physical activity, try to avoid going out in the cold weather, and take painkillers for the pain.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

If you have any other questions, I would be glad to answer to all of them!

Let me know about everything!

Wishing all the best,

Dr. Iliri
