Question: Hi My wife had delivered baby girl 8 months ago and had her first period after 6 month of delivery. she had normal heavy period for 15 days (from 13th March to 28th) n it stopped for couple of days and started again. few days later she was advised to take trenaxa MF for five days.. it didn't stop and second cycle started again on 13th April with heavy bleeding. After having waited for 11 days ,she was advised to go for scan and was diagnosed with bulky uterus with thick endometrium and polycystic ovaries. she took MA TA tablets for 5 days and then started progenova next day. Periods seemed to have stopped for first four days but started again on 5th day. Even after taking progenova since two days, shez bleeding on and off during the day with clots. we are confused as to what to do next. should she continue with progenova and wait for the bleeding to stop? please advice. I have attached the report for reference. warm regards Muzaffar

Brief Answer:
Continue with progenova.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Thanks for trusting us regarding your healthcare.
I have gone through your history and report and understand your concern completely.
Thickened endometrium in your case is due to hormonal imbalance caused by excess oestrogen without progesterone support,so endometrium becomes thickened without shedding ( in absence of progesterone)
So you can continue with progesterone to stop bleeding or you can think about minera IUD insertion to avoid pregnancy and stop bleeding as well.
Hope found useful, feel free to ask more information.
Good luck.
