Question: Hi. I have been having sudden skin spots, discoloration, and rashes. There are many other symptoms that are non skin related. But I just saw this rash on my left calf. It does not itch, I don’t think I was bit by a spider or insect, and I tested negative for Lyme (Re: other symptoms) awhile back. What can this be?

Brief Answer:
Fungal infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and viewed the images.

I can see ring shaped patches with red margins and central clearing. They seem like from fungal infection of skin. I suggest you yo use a topical antifungal e.g either Ketoconazole 2% cream or Miconazole nitrate 2^ cream/ gel, twice daily for 2-4 weeks.( Available on prescription from your local doctor).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
Note: Hope the answers resolves your concerns, however for further guidance of skin related queries consult our Dermatologist.Click here to book a consultation
