Question: Hi Doctor,

Since last 6 months i have a bizzare feeling like muscle getting pulled behind eye in my right eye. Dont know how to describe.
I had my eyes checked with opthomologist the other day and he said nothing. Could you please let me know what could be the problem or who could be the right consultant for this (opthomologist or neurologist or any other specialists... )

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Neurological check-up required.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Well, from this description, it's really not at all conclusive what this might be. Could be due to eyelid drooping/raised intra-orbital pressure/involuntary muscular twitch/stress and several others.

Since Ophthalmological check-up was done already, I believe Ocular tonometry and other basic Ophthalmological check-up was already carried out.

So, at this outset, I'd recommend getting a Neurological check-up in the first place. A few investigations (eg. Thyroid function test, Vitamin B12 level, electrolytes, MRI-Orbit and or brain) may also need to be done if it keeps on happening frequently...However, a thorough examination by a Neurologist is required before going for investigations.

Let me know if there are any further queries / doubts.
