Brief Answer:
Probably a fungal infection, follow the advice below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a fungal infection.

I would recommend to use topical medication such as Miconazole cream for local application.

You should apply it every day at the same time to get proper benefit of this cream.

I also recommend to use oral medication such as Fluconazole 150 mg (Diflucal) for two days.

This is a prescription medication, so you should consult your doctor before using it.

It is very important to maintain a good hygiene.

I recommend to wash and dry frequently the area.

I also recommend to use cotton underwear and avoid synthetic or tight clothes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
I suggest to use antifungal medication in the long term.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again dear,

I understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a fungal resistance.

So, I suggest to use antifungal medication in the long term.

I would suggest Fluclonazole instead of Ketoconazole.

You may use it for six to eight weeks.

I also recommend to continue usingan antifungal cream such as Lotrim as long as you have the symptoms.

Take care dear,

Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi
