Question: Hello doctor, My grandmother is unwell. She was having back pain (Spine has been damaged according to the MRI Report), not able to swallow (right now she is on liquid diet), drowsy but she has conscious. Her Creatinine is 3.3, blood urea - 178 & Platelets count - 0.82). Also, she is feeling drowsy all the time. So she keep on sleeping and we need to wake her up for every meal and she is having only liquid diet. I have attached her MRI & blood work reports. Is there any way we can reduce her urea & creatinine and increase her platelets count. Can you please explain us the next steps/procedure to bring back her health. Thanks in Advance!

Brief Answer:
she needs to be hospitalized

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

drowsiness is not explain by the reports. It may be effect of some medicine or some other diagnosis this should be urgently dealt with.

high urea and creatinine can be due to dehydration, infections, effect of medicine and painkillers and nephritis. all these possibilities have to be assessed by the treating doctor with the help of ultrasound for kidney size, urine routine and culture testing and clinical examination of the patient.

once we have found the cause then we can treat the condition.

this diagnosis cannot be achieved now on the basis of facts provided.

I would suggest admit the patient in care of your treating doctor

Best wishes
