Question: Hello. I'm in the process of getting tested for Cushings Disease. I do not currently, or have ever besides birth control, take any medications. My cholesterol is up, I have a XXXXXXX Hump, confirmed by ultrasound that it's not a Lipoma. I've gained about 40lbs in the past year and in general have not felt "myself." In the past week my breath has gotten bad. It's not oral. It seems to come from inside. Is this a possible Cushings symptom or is there something else possibly causing this? Thank you!

Brief Answer:
You are very likely to be having Cushing Syndrome.

Detailed Answer:
Hi...
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor"service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

The clinical symptomatology of your's resembles a cushing syndrome.
Usually the patient presents with upper body and truncal obesity, moon face, flushing of skin, acne, unusual tiredness,an increase of blood pressure and blood sugar, mood swings, changes in libido and menstruation.
It is primarily a clinical diagnosis and evaluated by tests like blood cortisol levels, salivary cortisol levels, urinary cortisol levels and dexamethasone suppression test.

Your clinician would evaluate you further according to the physical examination findings and test reports and would tailor your treatment protocol.

Hope that I have answered your query.

Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.
