Hello, I Asked Dr. XXXXXXX About The Symptoms I Was

Question: Hello, I asked Dr. XXXXXXX about the symptoms I was having a couple days ago with switching to protein drinks and doing my training. I was told that the tightening in my stomach was due to high protein and that I should take some time off from my shakes for a couple days until feeling better. I am currently back on my protein shakes that have fiber and this would make day 3 that I am experiencing a sharp pain in my abdomen on my lower left side. I can't say when this pain will come because it is randomly throughout the day but it definitely takes my breath away. Would this pain be from the shakes still? I had all of the tightening in my abdomen happen over this past weekend, I am now back to myself except for the sharp pain in my lower abdomen. I hope all of my information provided is helpful. Thank You

Aside from the tightening in my abdomen over the weekend, that is completely gone. I had light food for breakfast followed by lunch and dinner for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. By Monday morning I was back to myself. I take the GNC protein shake that has 25 grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber. I did not have any fiber capsules on me at home so I decided to stop taking the newest protein shake I bought (D2fit women's time release whey protein- chocolate, I attached a photo of ingredients) which has 22 grams of protein and no fiber since that was the newest thing I bought I figured that was probably what was causing my abdominal pain. I am still not drinking that shake still, only the GNC. I only do my meal replacement shake for my breakfast and I eat lunch and dinner. my new diet and training started the beginning of the year and I was not having much protein in at all before I started. I have passed gas and after my abdominal pain was gone it took me three days to pass a BM. This is definitely a new sharp pain I'm feeling and I was not feeling this at all during the tightening in my stomach, again, this pain will come at random times. It is only on my lower abdomen on my left side.

Brief Answer:
Take hydrolysed protein.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Aside from the tightening in my abdomen over the weekend, that is completely gone-I think that you want to say that your stomach was relieved after you stopped taking shake.
See most of the protein shakes contain either raw protein or protein concentrate which is hard for the body to digest that too a single time ingestion of about 24 gram protein.Your powder contains isolate raw and egg protein all three are difficult to digest.
If you want to take shake i would suggest you to start with Optimum nutrition Hydolysed whey/or any hydrolysed form of protein. Its almost digested form of protein(and is therefore costly).
Take isabghul husk for fibers.10 mg thrice daily.Soak it in XXXXXXX warm water and after 15 minutes have it.

You have mentioned your sex as male and are on female shake so i would consider you as female.
Don'tr go on bro science unless you are building muscles all you need is the protein equivalent to your weight in kg.
For eg f your weight is 55kg you need to take 55kg of protein maximum.
Protein as such is hard for body to digest so give your body time. You can also divide scoob of powder in three parts and have it 8 hourly.Your body could easily cope up with that and at the end of the day total intake is same.
Life style modification etc is a way to live life so don't try to speed up things.Increase things slowly listen to your body.If you could not digest 24 gram take 12 gram or 6 gram and increase it slowly over weeks or months.

As of now stop taking this shake.Bring hydrolysed whey protein and take it as per the ability of your body to digest it.
Believe me 12 gram of well digested food would help you melt much more fat and gain many more muscles then 30 gram of food giving you gas and gross indigestion.

Thanks and get well soon.
