Hello I’m Stressing Out Because I’ve Started To Have Sighs

Question: Hello I’m stressing out because I’ve started to have sighs of ED and I can only think of two things that may have caused this. One I recently started taking finasteride which I’ve only taken for 3 days and I can recall experiencing nothing during at least 2 of them. The other is a bit weird but this is what happened. I work nights and had gone to the bathroom and noticed no one was going into the bathroom (I’m very shy when it comes to public restrooms) anyway I head to the urinal which is something I never do but because no one was coming I went for it. As I’m going another person comes through scaring me and I ended my stream but in that process I felt this sort of retraction in my testicles and taint. It hurt pretty bad but the pain went away after a few minutes. Though I remember moving around a bit having a sharp pain in the taint region. I bring this up because I started to feel a bit numb down there after I woke up the next day (around the head) and was able to get an erection that day and slightly the next but as of Sunday night and Monday I’ve been having some real issues. I can’t figure out what I should do like I said I’ve stopped fin just to be safe but I had this like trauma to my genitals so I have no idea what to think and I’m going crazy. This has been a process of like 4ish days with the ED only really kicking in 2 of those 4.

Brief Answer:
Finasteride is causing your symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I don't think that pain in testicles may be related stopping the urination.
I believe that pain in testicles together with low libido and erectile dysfunction may be caused by taking finasteride.
I think you should stop taking finasteride and it will bring you back to normal.
Consult your doctor about it.

Hope I have answered the question.

How long would you guess it be until I start to get back to normal? It’s been 3 to 4 days so far since I’ve stopped the finasteride.

So 3-4 for days after it’s left my system or starting now because it’s been 4-5 days since I’ve stopped taking it and the ED symptoms have only been around for about 2 days. It wasn’t until Sunday night where it really started. As of today it’s pretty much impossible for me to get erect whereas Sunday and Monday I could slightly and Saturday I was able to be fully erect but had that slight numbing like feeling at the head which isn’t as sensitive as it was before.
