Brief Answer:
Explained below

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask a Doctor,

I have gone through the query and the attachments and the symptoms that your mother is experiencing seems to be associated with cervico-spondylosis.

I would suggest to do the following:
- It is ideal to wear a neck brace for short intervals daily so as to help the neck muscles to relax.
- Avoid using a pillow while sleeping.
- Take T. ZERODOL P as an when needed for pain relief.
- Discuss the need for a physiotherapist with your doctor, to train relevant exercises for the neck.
- Hot and cold fomentation daily.
- You can also discuss the need for steroid injections which helps in better symptomatic relief.

If the symptoms seems to be progressing, then you can discuss the need for definitive treatment which would be surgery.

I hope this helps,

Please feel free to discuss further,

Regards

Hello Mr. XXXXXXX

Thanks for writing back,

Sorry for the long delay in replying back,

Yes, pain at the back of the head is one of the presentations of cervical spondylosis. Also make sure that her blood pressure is within normal levels. Continue taking calcium tablets and she can also take a course of gabapentin tablets for 2 weeks. Take T. NUROKIND G 100mg twice daily for 2 weeks.

I hope this helps,

Please feel free to discuss further,
