Question: Hello Doctor,

I have an query regarding using of Durex Play lubricant during intercourse. I have used this lubricant with Condom and without Condom since beginning, my quarry is this use of lubricant during intercourse effects on fertility issues, because last six months we were tried for a Baby but not getting positive result. Can you please suggest me on this.

You can try without gel

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Though they have mentioned that no spermicides were added in this gel ,most of them can decrease motility of sperm. I suggest you to do a semen analysis to confirm that your semen is normal and get an ultrasound scan for your wife along with Thyroid and prolactin hormones. These are basic tests. If normal you can try without gel. Vaginal lubrication can be increased by spending more time in foreplay.
