Question: Hello Doctor,
I am 30 years old and married. My usual periodic cycle is 28 days. However from past 4 months, my cycle has changed to 32-34 days. What could be reasons for this change? Should I be worried about this ?

Brief Answer:
There is no need to worry so long as the cycles are regular.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Though your cycle length has changed, it is still within normal limits. So, there is no need to worry.

If ovulation is regular, this change is physiological. If ovulation is not normal, hormone levels are to be checked. Sudden weight changes, stress, infection, cysts of the ovary etc., are some causes for irregularities in the cycles.

In the current scenario, since the change is regular, you can consider it normal.

Hope your query has been answered. Please feel free to contact for further clarification. I will be happy to help.

Regards,
Shanti V.
