Question: Hello, 55yr female, usually healthy, 5' 4" 155 lbs. I had seen my primary care doctor on 5/15/18 for follow up on rash on 05/11/18 and additional new medical issues, cough, and severe cold. My Dr. diagnosis me having: sinusitis, cold and bug bites. For itchy bug rash, given me: Triamcinolone Acetone cream .1% and Triamcinolone Acetone lotion .025% apply morning and evening. For sinusitis given Amoxicillin-Clav 125 mg tab, 1 tab every 12 hrs and cough medicine for post nasal drip. The fever went down, still blowing nose with brown or bright yellow phlegm and resting with plenty fluids. Starting to feel a little better and no worse, however now my husband has caught my cold. However, the my rash remains itchy at night and upon my follow up doctor visit had had more bites. I am a social worker helping the homeless & had thought it was fleas in my office (sprayed & fogged office for fleas). For the last two months, getting bites at the office. Although, have been at home sick for the last week and still getting bites, upon my last doctor visit he thought it was flea bites but now does not know. Recommended taking Zyrtec twice a day but I can not because it makes the sinusitis worse & besides still getting bites? My husband does not have any rash or bug bites just me. Have about 45 bites which started 2 months ago, 5 the last couple of days but was at home only. The bites are under my arm pits both sides, around my belt area both sides, around and in my belly button, on the sides of my thighs, in between my buttocks, a couple on my labia minora. and around my neck. I do not understand how I got these bites, I wear very long underwear and pants at work. Also, the bites are odd, began located on the belt line about 2 on the left then get 2 exactly the same spot on the right side, then repeats. Also, the same happened under the armpit, had 2 on right side, then 2 left side and repeated. Had 2 bites on my inner right thigh, then got 2 bites same spot on the left thigh. When I got the bits on my neck, collarbone area, started off with 1 then, came back to same area and now 5 bites? Also, same on belly button area, started with 1, now total 5 around area. Trying not to scratch but still itchy, noticed itch increases at night. Lastly, noticed had had a rash about this time of year in 2015, had hives. Please help, my dr. does not know what is causing the bites. I will have another follow up with my doctor, after the sinusitis gets better and ask for a specialist referral. Please excuse the lengthy question, trying to get this resolved and talking is much easier but tried to give a good description for help. Thank you very much for your time.
