Hello- I Have Had A Pain In My Left Arm

Question: Hello- I have had a pain in my left arm both shoulder and bicep for several months. I went to a cardiologist and had a stress test which came back fine. I'm a 60 year old male. I have not injured myself and I work in an office environment.

Your symptoms seem to be related to myalgia.

It can be related to the body posture which can cause muscle pain and tension.

I see through your query that you have already excluded cardiac problems through the stress test.

I would recommend using noninflammatory medication for the pain such as Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day daily.

I would also recommend using an anti inflammatory cream such as Voltaren cream for local application.

Heat compresses can also be helpful.

If the symptoms continue I would recommend to visit a rheumatologist.
