Heavy Bleeding After Sexual Intercourse, Taken Adderal And Consumed Alcohol. Will That Decrease Bleeding Or Any Advise?
Question: my wife is bleeding pretty heavy after sexual intercourse. She thinks we tore something. She was bleeding heavy at first but it has slown down. She does take adderal and had exactly 2 drinks tonight. could that make her bleed a little easier?Should we go to the emergency room?

A heavy bleeding after sexual intercourse is most likely due to vaginal tear or cervical lacerations.
Taking adderal and two drinks can cause further vasodilatation thus increasing the bleeding.
It needs to be stopped either by a compression vaginal packing or stitching the torn area if the tear is large enough. An antibiotic cover is also needed to prevent the infection.
You need to visit emergency room and get her examined if bleeding perists for adequate treatment. In case the bleeding has stopped completely then she can wait to see her regular Gynecologist for appropriate prescriptions.
