Hi Ganeshsree,

Thanks for your query.
I shall address your concern based on your current given information.

I understand that you need help with your one-sided headache condition.
I would need the following answers before I can give a close probability.
1. You say right side, how long does it stay ?
2. How many episodes/week ?
3. How long since have had this problem ?
4. Any activity you do, brings this headache on ?
5. Your occupation.
6. Any vomiting, spinning sensation, vision disturbances, eye-glasses etc ?
7. Medical treatment history, what about your treatment for Diabetes ?
8. Your Blood Pressure reading ?

My advice to you for now:
1. Keep off bright lights, TV, chocolates, cheese.
2. You can probably take over the counter drugs like aspirin for 2-3 doses/day.
3. Check your lifestyle, change for the better if you already know about stress.
4. Relax, and assume you will get better with treatment.
5. You would need prescription drugs (by a physician) in case aspirin/home remedies as above do not work or if you feel the need, and migraine needs to be evaluated before it is confirmed as the culprit.
6. Your blood levels are still on the high, and would need review from your doctor who would have seen for your diabetes. Check on this too.
7. Check-ups every 3-4 months are necessary to make sure your diabetes is behaving well. Because, diabetes does produce macro and microvascular issues related to your blood vessels on neglect.

I hope I have answered your concern on a broad sense, now.

If you have additional questions regarding these recommendations or further new queries as you prepare to make decision regarding future care, you should not hesitate to contact me.

Hi Ganeshsree,

Thanks for the reply.

Grossly, you can see for yourself, that your health issues need care now.
Let me explain your condition in points again.

1. A possibility of a small sinus infection, though migraine is less of a chance with you.
Why sinusitis - since it typically aggravates and causes cold, fever, headache too. Although on paper, this can prove right with your head x-rays. An ENT doctor would be able to help in here.

2. I would presume, Type A personality for your job bit which you would be aware that stress would be the culprit for any thing under the sun. Learn some relaxation techniques from an expert meditation/yoga master.

3. I would also presume you have not followed the typical 6-month check ups with your eye specialist. And your vision needs a check. This also might contribute to the headache.

4. The biggest thief of all, Diabetes but this thief would have been quiet only if those blood levels were in the normal range, which I am afraid needs urgent review of your medication, with a qualified MD, DM endocrinologist. No, not some fellowship in Diabetes/or some who claims to be a diabetes specialist after MBBS.

5. Have a complete health check (available as a competitive package every year or so) at well known laboratory.

You would probably need prescription drugs like antibiotics for a week or more in case it is diagnosed as sinusitis in your xrays. Your physician should be able to continue his care well, once diagnosis is clear.

Hope, you got all the possibilities I have enumerated.

Any doubts beyond, I will be too glad to help.
